Today I was explaining to Avery that everyone was coming over for Thanksgiving lunch tomorrow. This is how our conversation went:
Me: Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and everyone is coming to our house to eat our Big Turkey dinner with us.
Avery: Why??
Me: Because it's a special holiday that we celebrate with family and friends to celebrate how thankful we are for the blessings in our lives. What are you thankful for??
Avery: Chicken Nuggets
Me: What else?
Avery: Ketchup
Me: Anything else?
Avery: Macaroni & Cheese
I'm sure she is thankful for these things since they are the things she eats all the time, but I think she got a little confused and was telling me what she was going to eat tomorrow too. Since, everything the adults would be eating is "too yucky" for her! We'll have to try again later.
