A Few Night Running Observations

*it is a great way to de-stress after being in the house with 2 toddlers and going through the witching hours before and after dinner

*it's great to see everyone's x-mas lights up and it's much more enjoyable to look at in the dark

*i can do speed window shopping as i run through watters creek...you know check out the new trends, what's on sale

*sometimes the sidewalk ends!  not such a problem during daylight hours when i can see where i'm running on the grass or dirt path, but a bit harder when it's dark.  maybe i should use tim's headlamp.  but, why does it even stop when it just starts back up about 20 feet ahead???

*drivers DO NOT give pedestrians the right of way.  everyone is in way too much of a hurry.  so, i let them go seeing as i'd like to not get hit.

*compared to running in the morning, when nothing is open, the smells of food coming from the restaurants and homes is totally unfair.  especially when you haven't eaten dinner and it's waiting for you at home!

*you can TOTALLY see into people's homes!!  i saw a man using a computer in his bedroom, lots of people preparing and eating dinner in their kitchens, and some other stuff i care not to mention

*best of all...it's nice to just be by myself with my own tunes for a short time in my day.  and, i feel so refreshed when i walk in the door and ella comes running to me with her arms open for a hug, avery says hi mommy and tim tells me they had a "throwing" in the air contest while i was gone.  these 3 make me a better person!

Kid Conversations

I Love having conversations with Avery just to hear what comes out of her mouth most of the time.  But, I especially Love negotiating with her when we are talking about how many minutes she can do something.  Like how our conversation went this afternoon:

Avery:  Mommy, can I play on the computer when we get home??
Me:  Okay, for a little bit
Avery: How long Mommy?
Me:  10 minutes
Avery: I was thinking 30 minutes
Me:  No, you can play for 10 minutes though
Avery:  Well, I was thinking of something like a number that has 1 and 3 in it, I'm assuming she meant 13??  Never know for sure :)
Me:  Well, you could play for 12 minutes then
Avery:  Eyes light up, look of happiness that she won this battle, but if she only knew

It will be such a bummer when she actually gets the whole time thing but for right now I'll enjoy my upper-hand :)

Playoff Football Game with Daddy

Saturday, Tim decided to take Avery to the Allen football playoff game at Cowboys Stadium.  Lucky girl...I haven't even been to the "new" stadium yet.  Probably because I'm such a big football fan :)   Besides the many bathroom breaks, they had a great time together!

My two loves...I love that they get to do these things together. I hope by having this blog to remind her of the things she did when she was little, she will cherish these memories when she gets older. I know Tim and I will!

And, while they were at the game I got to hang out with this goofball :)   Already doing some yoga poses.  She thought she was sooo funny so she kept doing it over and over and over again!!

and then she started to become fussy and i had read my girlfriend cortney's blog the other day and she was asking if anyone else takes photos of their kids crying.  since i already had the camera in hand, i thought i'd snap a few.  i'll get some better ones next time!  time for nap and some mommy-time :)

The Past Couple Weeks

Here are some of the pics I've taken in the past couple weeks.  We've been having some fun!

On Wednesdays, Kitty comes to play with Ella and Cissy has been coming with her.  When Avery finds out she is over, she wants to play with Cissy too so she's been staying over to play with Avery.  They have been having so much fun together and I love watching them because they are pretty funny!

they wanted me to get in the pic with them too!

avery doing a little training with tim.  she's going to be the pull-up princess :)

we went to our sweet new niece's baby naming.  we all got to give her our own special wishes.  she's beautiful and one lucky girl!!  we love having her here!

and, after the baby naming, we got to celebrate these 2 special boys birthdays.  riley, 8 and connor, 11!!  I can't believe it!

riley decided to smash his face into his pie :)

and then, the girls did too because they thought it was so funny!!  avery just got it on the top of her forehead!

here's ella wearing her new hat.  we had to try it on to make sure it fit and she wouldn't take it off.  we'll see how long that will last.

Thanksgiving Feast

Avery's school had their Thanksgiving Feast today and the parents got to come up and join them.  It was so fun to go "eat" with them and all of her little friends.

Here is her placemat she made and under her plate are her 2 turkey hands :)

Before they ate, they put on a little singing performance for us.  They were all so cute singing their songs.   They look so little, but are getting so big!

My camera was not working great but I got this fuzzy close-up of Ms. Aves

Here they all are eating lunch together.  Their conversations were pretty funny!

Me and My Girl!  She's home all next week and I can't believe it's already Thanksgiving.  This year is going by way too quick!

Catching Up with My Two Cuties!

I feel like I'm so neglectful about blogging right now and I feel like the pictures keep piling up but where is the time??  Here are only a few of what I have in my never-ending picture taking life of my girls and some new facts about each one.

Avery Jordan -
*you are now finally waking up on your own and coming downstairs without us coming to get you.  part of me is a little sad about this, but mostly i'm just so happy to have you go play in your playroom before we (and i mean ella too) wakes up :)

*you are also getting up by yourself in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom without waking us up.  i think this is even better than you getting up by yourself in the morning.  sometimes you tell me you go to the bathroom 3 times in the middle of the night.  i'm happy for you to do it on your own!

*you have become such a cuddle bug and want us to hug or hold you.  i know part of it is bcuz you see us holding ella, but i'll take it right now.

*you love school, your friends there, music class, when anyone comes over, when we go anywhere, still not the greatest eater but at least you mostly try it and what you do love you definitely eat, like listening to music, playing games on the ipod, calling people on the phone (already!!!)

love you kiddo!

supporting her team!

girly-girl getting her nails painted.  every one is a different color!

eating her ice cream we got from the ice cream truck driving around the neighborhood. she thought it was so cool and there were soooo many choices! seriously...how do they make any money??

still loves wearing her dinosaur mask from ben's birthday this past spring!

Ella Ryann:
*so much to tell about you!
*14 months and I can't let go of you not being a "baby" anymore

*you babble all the time and have a few words that you can say, dog, hat, hop, da, you try hard to say avery but i think that one will take some time.  you understand everything!!!  and you are for the most part a good listener when we tell you no :)

*you have pretty much dropped down to 1 nap and it's taking some time for me to get used to it. some days you can't make it, and we go for the double but those days are becoming fewer and fewer

*you are such a little piggy...and eat everything you can.  i honestly don't know how you stuff it into your little body.  it's fantastic to watch and see what you will eat.  things i never even knew babies would like!   as long as there is food around or in your hand, we are great :)

*you walk like you've been walking your whole life.  and, we are still waiting on putting the gates up bcuz you are interested in the stairs but not any further than the 1st one.  it's only a matter of time

*finally, your top teeth have come in and the back of your mouth is just a bunch of mounds while your molars arrive.  Just wait until they all come in and the things you will be able to eat.  you are going to love it!

*you are such a smiley baby, have such a great spirit, kind of a mama's girl, i can't give up the bottle yet bcuz it's my last thing that keeps you my baby, you love stuffed animals and give them hugs, you will dole out the kisses when saying goodbye but only to everyone else and not me...i get hugs though and steal my own kisses, my favorite time of the day is putting you to bed bcuz after your books and bottle we have our one-on-one time and it's is the best!!!

*thanks for completing our family sweet girl :)

uh-oh, where's lovey??  how this munchkin wakes up :)

already helping me with the dishes.  she must be sitting because she looks so tiny!

she loves her bears!

not such a baby anymore!

waving hello

she points at EVERYTHING!

movie star!

and, she is in love with her playroom and wears avery's necklaces all the time!  anytime she goes in there, she comes out with a necklace on.  shoes and jewelry...you're in trouble tim!

Birthday Celebrations

We've been busy with birthdays this Fall and we still have more special ones to come!

We celebrated this sweet girl, Keaton's 3rd birthday in September.  I still remember the day she was born when Tim and I waited up at the hospital with their family to meet her.  We were so happy to find out that she was a girl because they didn't find out the sex of the baby during their pregnancy and now when Avery and Keaton get together, they have such a blast!

This was the hardest pinata to break open.  Luckily, all the kids got several chances with the bat and bags full of candy and toys.  What a fun party!

We had several family birthdays in October to celebrate. My Mom, both Molly and Mollye, and Don.  We celebrated at Molly and Don's for their birthdays and went to go see Connor play in his football game.  Here are the girls waiting to blow out the candles with Molly on her pie:

And the rest of them jumped in too!

Check out this field that Connor plays at for his football games.  He's in 5th grade mind you!  Awesome!

The rest of the kiddos staying busy trying to catch the football from us up top.  We are genius! This can only lead to injury and trouble!

How sweet is this pic of Rich and Ella??

Look at how big #6 Connor is getting!

This is the only pic I have for Darmi's birthday.  I almost didn't get this one but I just had to snap one quick.  What a beautiful day for her birthday!  We spent the morning with her and took the girls to the park after lunch.  Then Poppy and her came over for her requested enchilada dinner and the best Baskin Robbins pie we've ever had because it was filled with German Chocolate Cake ice cream, both of our favorite ice cream.  Too bad she left it at our house. Sorry Mom, we owe you another pie.   Happy Birthday Everyone!
