St. Patty's Day

Saturday, we celebrated Tim's favorite day of the year in Dallas...St. Patty's Day!  And, Luck of the Irish, our friend that works for Deep Eddy asked Tim to drive a dune buggy in the parade.  He was so excited!!   We were already going down to watch the parade and go to a block party on our friends street so it was a bonus to get to watch for him to drive by in the parade.

Here are the girls sporting their Deep Eddy St. Patty's Day shades.  Notice the UV sticker on them they wouldn't let me take off right away :)

The parade was SOOOOOO crowded, but it turns out that if you have little kids who want to watch, you somehow get to cut up to the front.  Some of the singletons around us were saying how they should remember to ask their family's next year if they can borrow some kids :)  Plus, the girls were TOTAL bead magnets. Anytime someone on a float would see them dancing to the music they would come over and actually hand them the beads through the bars instead of launching them into the crowd.  I was pretty impressed with them seeing as they stood watching for a good hour while we waited for Tim's car to appear.  Avery was in heaven!!

Our friend Nathan and his daughter who we came down to do their block party

Tim's dune buggy parade pics.  Check out the 2 hotties riding along on the back...I can't believe they didn't ask me ;)

Look at her Big smile...so excited to have seen her Daddy and gotten all these beads!

And, though it was fun we are finally leaving the madness :)

We had a lot of fun house hopping on their block.  How cute are these kids!

and these boys...

and these girls...

and these 2!!

My 18-Month Old

aahhh, sweet ella!!  18 months already and she is just the BEST!

woohoo, we've finally made it into the 20 lbs for weight!!  21.6 lbs actually.  in the 50-75% for height and 75-80% for heads.  why do babies have such big noggins or more specifically, why do ours?

lots of words now...NO!NO!NO! of course but in the cutest way possible. seriously!!  i'm not saying it just becuz i'm her mom.  wow! cool!  try?  everyone in the family's name, all her animals even though she gets them confused sometimes, pretty much will repeat anything we say if you say it slowly enough.  still waiting on "i love you" and then i'm done :)

so friendly.  she says HI!  to anyone she sees in the stores, school, park, wherever. and, she will not stop saying it until you respond back and it goes from just a simple hi!  to a yelling HI!  by the time some people respond.

loves following avery anywhere and being around her.

she is really starting to share and can discern between which is hers and which is someone elses, Avery's cup, Daddy's wa-wa

she will go over to things that she is not supposed to touch or play with and say "no, no, no, no" like avery's nightlight, my drawers, and also look at you with this coy grin and face cocked to the side pretending it's alright ;)

she is such a sneaker and will go find things in any of the rooms that she shouldn't have and come back out with them, namely any type of lotion/soap bottle, avery's crayons/markers, my shoes, toothpaste...pretty much anything she can get her little hands on!

she loves to brush her teeth and walk around the house with 2 toothbrushes in her hands whenever she can.

she is running, climbing everywhere.  she will pick up the home phone and put it to her ear and say "hi" and then jibber-jabber into it like she's having a real conversation.

she loves her lovey and paci and i'm not sure how i'm going to get rid of the paci when it's time.  i will take any advice from anyone because avery never had her paci this long so i'm at a loss but am NOT looking forward to it. we have some time before we have to do this though.

when we are going over to my parents or tim's parents before we even get to their street she is saying their names.  how does she already know?? and when we go to pick up avery from school she will see her school and say "avery school"

she has started to sing along to our songs we listen to in the car which is super-cute and makes avery and i laugh!!  not at her, of course :)

she loves to play outside!  going on walks, riding her bike like a speed demon, kicking the "socca ball", playing in the dirt???, using chalk, attempting to blow bubbles...you name it

i'm sure there is so much more but i can't think anymore!!  she is such a fun, funny, little girl.  it's so great to be with her everyday.  i feel so blessed.  love you sweet girl!
