For Easter, Kitty gave me a packet of Basil seeds and a small pot to grow them in for my kitchen. For those of you that know me, I have no green thumb whatsoever and it's something I have come to terms with :) At our old house, my girlfriend from Cali, used to make fun of me for having fake flowers in my hanging baskets outside. That's how bad it is!!
So, after putting off planting my little seedlings I finally planted them when we got back from vacation and I am proud to say that I have some beautiful little sprouts. I am hoping it will continue to grow and I will have fresh basil to use whenever I need it.

good for you! i just made pesto from my basil the other night and i felt very proud. we had the yummiest pasta! when your basil get to that point, let me know and i'll send you the recipe!
