Girls Weekend...When the Boy is Away, The Girls will Play!

Last Thursday, Tim left town with Brandon Lairsen and some other boys and headed up to Arkansas to do some canoeing and camping leaving Ms. Avery and I to a long weekend together! We were busy the whole time, but were really excited to have Daddy back yesterday.

Of course I missed him alot - that's a given :), but Avery really missed her Daddy this time! She asked about him alot during the day and especially at night when she wanted him to come up and rub her back before bed. She was super happy to have him home yesterday before nap and even took the best nap since he left. It's so amazing to watch their relationship grow and get stronger...they are Best Buds :)

Thursday morning we headed out to the Wiggly play center with Shea and Alicia and the girls had so much fun playing. Avery loves the coin machines the best so I had to keep telling her I ran out of money...she didn't believe me - smart girl!

Here are the girls riding the horsey..."Yee-Haw"!

and the tiny Merry-Go-Round

Then, just as we were about to leave, Dorothy the Dinosaur came out and sang and danced with the kiddos. Avery was loving it and was jumping and dancing around.

Friday night Avery spent the night at Darmi and Poppy's and I met up with Brian, Mollye, Kristen, Kevin, Mike and a bunch of their friends to celebrate Brian and his friend, Elliott's, birthdays. We met up at Mattito's for some super yummy Mexican food and birthday cake (thanks Mollye!).

Happy Birthday Boys!!

After Mattito's - I drove Mollye, Brian, Kristen and Kevin over to another bar, this DD thing is sure coming in handy for all of them :) Thanks Kristen for being a sport and sitting in Avery's seat :)

Saturday, we met up with Heather, Kim Dandy, Kinley and Kale at the Carson and Barnes Big Top Circus in Allen. The girls really enjoyed looking at all the animals and they even had elephant, camel and pony rides. We told them they could ride them after the circus since the show was close to starting. I'd never been to a "traveling" circus before and had no idea what to expect. It was A LOT of performances that were fun to watch and the girls liked them, but they had No animals the 1st half and the girls were getting antsy to see the animals so we split after intermission and the girls got to ride the ponies a couple of times. If you ask them how the circus was they'll tell you that they got to ride the ponies...hopefully the next circus will have some more animal acts.

That is a Big Elephant!

These people were crazy!

Riding the ponies...the highlight of the afternoon :)

Sunday Morning we woke up and headed over to Darmi and Poppy's for some doughnuts and milk - Yummy!

Later that night we had dinner at Grimaldi's and ice cream at Paciugo's - Delicious. My camera stopped working, dead battery, but I'd say we had a great weekend just the 2 of us but it's definitely nice to have Tim back!!
