Sunset Boat Ride

A few weeks ago, one of our close friends, Daniel, from middle school (me)/high school (tim) was in for the week with his newly engaged girlfriend now fiancé, Toni, so it was time to hang out and celebrate their engagement!  We are so excited for him and can't wait to see him get married sometime within the next several years (per Daniel)...though if you ask her it will be next summer :)  

the Kids and i spent the afternoon at his parents house swimming with the hales and then after tim was off work the adults met up at Lake Lavon for a some Sunset Boating Fun!  It was so much fun!  We haven't been on their boat in so long and it was just so nice to relax and hang out with our friends.  I can't wait to get back out there again!

and, then there's me...it only took me 3 tries, but i finally got up and stayed up longer than i expected to!

and then, i landed outside of the wake and had no idea how i was going to get back :)

and last, but totally not least, is the pro himself nathan!  it's so fun to watch him wakeboard.  he makes it look so easy and is so amazing out there!

Arboretum Sunday

Wishful thinking that we went to the Arboretum a couple Sundays ago bcuz it was a tad cooler out when we left.  By the time we'd been there for about 45 minutes it was blazing hot again.  Oh well, we had fun and the kids finished their day off at the "Frog Lake" as Avery has named it.

Happy July 4th

July 4th holiday this year was so quick since it landed in the middle of the week but it was so packed with so much fun that it was a great little break!!  

On the 3rd, we went to an amazing party at one of our friends house!  They've done it the past several years, but we've never been able to make it, but we had no plans this year so we headed on over and are we sure glad we did!  They had all sorts of things for the kiddos, bounce house water slide, swimming with a lifeguard on hand, babysitters, the hamburger man, bartender, servers, caricature man,   sparklers, glow necklaces, etc...  I can't remember it all :)

We spent the day up at the pool on the 4th...this is what your kids look like after staying up til 11:00 the night before.  Avery's face cracks me up!

Kitty and Rich came over for dinner and to watch fireworks with us and this is what our main menu items looked like.  Delicious!!

Before the big fireworks show we had one of our own with these sparklers that we've had for a couple years.  These things are CRAZY!!! They shoot out their sparks. It was hilarious!!
