Summertime Fun!

There is no method to the following madness...it's not even in order by date so have fun looking:

Avery and I were going through all the baby stuff and we found all the baby burp cloths which she thinks are baby blankets so all she has been doing is playing with them non-stop. I think I will have to get some new burp cloths for the baby and let Avery have all of these :)

We were at Willow Bend playing and having lunch and we were still hungry so we had to stop at Neiman's and get one of their fabulous chocolate-chip cookies. It's almost as big as her head :) I'll have to help her eat it...if she'll let me!

After eating our cookie and on the way out, we stopped in the surf/skate shop right by the exit. We always try to see if anyone is using this and lucky us this time they had a little party going on. Avery and I pulled up a chair and watched these boys try as hard as they could to get up on those boogie boards. It looked so hard, they were definitely better off kneeboarding.

Our 1st time to eat Watermelon. Avery loves fruit but some she is picky about because of the texture...we have a winner here. She couldn't stop eating it!

Me & My Girl

Ready to get going to TBJ camp for the week

Visiting Daddy at work to have lunch with him

Storytime at Borders...I've decided that though Avery might sort of like it, I'm not a big fan of the storytimes. Maybe I just haven't found the right place for us.

Ready for our other summer camp at Apple Creek

Avery has found that there are alot of "fun" things in our entertainment cabinet in the living room. For instance, she found all our DVD's and keeps asking us what they are and making stacks of them all over the living room. Look how proud she is of her tower:

Sometimes a girl gets cold and needs to put on her winter jacket and gloves...even in this 100+ heat.

Avery and I headed up to Watters Creek for some girl time and went to her favorite ice cream place, Paciugo and listened to some music on the lawn.

Dance, Dance, Dance

Look who forgot to call each other to make sure they weren't wearing the same thing:

Preggo Mommy enjoying some couch time

My Gardener:

Nathan and Keaton were out on a Saturday morning up in Plano and called us to see what we had going on. We were planning on taking Avery to Lifetime to swim so they joined us up there and we had a great time!

This Morning

Last night I had a pretty restless sleep for the 1st half of the night and then the rest of the night I was out...so out that I didn't even hear Tim's alarm this morning or hear him leave. I woke up on my own around 7:45 and was laying there for a little bit when I heard Avery cough. The thing is, her cough wasn't very muffled coming from upstairs in her room which I thought was really odd. I checked the monitor and it didn't look like she was in her bed so I called out her name a couple times, but she never answered. I got out of bed and walked into the kitchen looking for her and there she was sitting on the couch, watching a Barney and looking at the ads from yesterday's paper:

I couldn't believe she was up and hadn't even come in my room to wake me. I called Tim to see when she had gotten up because Avery never comes down on her own and doesn't know how to turn on the TV. Tim said she had gotten up around 7:15 and that Mommy was sleeping so he set her up in the living room when he left for work.

I wonder how long she would have let me sleep?? Is this one of the things that turns my little girl into a big girl?? I still can't believe it!!!

Our Dancing Machine

Avery LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to throw on the Ipod or CD player and scroll through to find the song that she wants and DANCE, DANCE, DANCE! We finally got her on video the other night and she was certainly entertaining...sorry for the poor quality of the video but it was pretty dark in the room. Tim and I think she has finally found the rhythm and beat...I bet she'd like to enter a dance competition :) Enjoy!

PS: apparently the whole legs open wide and dipping she learned from her camp counselor she later told us...we'll see if we return next year ;)

Happy 3rd Birthday Cissy!

I'm about a month late on this post, but better late than never, right?? A lot of things have been going on around here :)

Cissy turned "3" on August 8 and because of the move into their new house and the hecticness that came with it, Molly decided to forgo a party this year and instead we took the girls to Sweet & Sassy for their 1st ever mani's and pedi's. We had such a blast there and the girls just loved being pampered!!

Here they are picking out their polish. Of course Avery picked purple and blue - her favorite colors and I was sure Cissy would pick pink but they both decided on purple and blue this time.

Here are the princesses with Nana

Getting their toes done...ahh, doesn't that bubble bath feel great!

Sweet birthday girl

Thinks she's the birthday girl too :)

Blue toes

Waiting patiently for their polish to dry

Time for the manicures. She looks like such a Big Girl!

Look at all the rings she has. One is from home and then they got to pick a couple for their toes and fingers.

Then, they got stars on their faces and glitter in their hair

The girl who did everything said they could get on stage before the next party got started and they just loved it. They kept running back and forth down the stage and dancing to the music that was playing.

They just LOVE each other! It is so wonderful to watch them together :)

Leaving with their party favors

After Sweet & Sassy's we headed over to Grimaldi's for some yummy pizza. Molly, Kitty and I sure did enjoy it!! The girls were having too much fun playing in the booth and enjoying their morning to eat. Then Avery had been sitting next to Molly but Cissy wanted to sit next to her so Molly moved one girl on each side of her. Look at the way Avery is looking at Cissy - wipe it off Avery ;)

After pizza we then went to Paciugo for some birthday ice cream. All of a sudden the girls seemed to get their appetite back - isn't it funny how that works when sweets come into the picture. Does anyone know of any kid that does not like ice cream, chocolate, sweets, etc?? I would like to see a kid say, "No, I don't want ice cream, I'd like some more veggies, fruit, meat, etc". Maybe our next one...yeah, right!

Look at the princesses wearing their tiaras:

After ice cream we did a little shopping in Charming Charlie's. The girls had a blast in there and loved looking at everything. Don't you just love these flowered headbands with veils they have on...they thought it was so funny. Very vintage girls!!

Happy 3rd Birthday sweet girl!!
