Happy Bounce Party!

for avery's 4th birthday party she requested it be at a bounce house place this year. i was totally on board with that seeing that i wouldn't have to host it at my house and it would all be taken care of by someone else.

i will tell you that of all the birthday parties we've had for her so far and i know it's not that many, this was the best party by far!!! the place took care of everything except the cake, but that's the easy part - they had 2 people to run it and literally do everything...they told me to stop helping the kids during cake time because it was their job. ahh, if only someone would say that to me every once in awhile at home or out :) the room was set up great without even having any added decorations, the kids and when i say kids i mean both little and big got to bounce for what seemed like forever, they provided the drinks, and all we had to do was show up!

it was so fun watching all the kids jump and i can't tell who had a better time, the 4-year olds and older cousins or the BIG BOY daddy's and uncles :)

Happy 4th Birthday Sweet Aves!

Dear Avery Jordan,
4 Years ago you came into our lives with the most beautiful big brown eyes and sweet demeanor and filled our hearts with a love I didn't even know could exist! It's been amazing watching you grow into the little, or as you say that you are now 4 years old "Big Girl" that you are today.

You have the most infectious laugh and I love to tickle you to just hear it!!

You LOVE life and are constantly busy and want to always go somewhere. Mostly to Darmi and Poppy's, Nana and Papa's or Cissy's house and if not one of those then definitely shopping! I've trained you and Ella right, poor Daddy :)

You talk, talk, talk and always have a question, request or something to share. At this moment in your life you are definitely a "Director" and like to tell everyone what to do. I don't think Ella stands a chance!

Favorite places to eat: Chick-fil-A, Grimaldi's, Steak 'n' Shake, anywhere that has ice cream!
Favorite places to shop: Target, Hobby Lobby, the Bank (which is the Dollar Store) - i think you like to call it the bank because they have $$$ signs on the windows

You have pretty much given up your naps - so sad :( but you still rest almost every day. And, you've started to wear pajamas with no feet since you are now 4!

Every day is a true adventure with you Big Girl! I Love waking you up in the morning and hanging out with you and Ella before school while you eat breakfast and play. I Love picking you up from school and hearing all about your day and playing with you when we get home. I Love seeing you Love your little sister (at least when you aren't taking a toy away from her or being a little "too" rough with her)! I Love watching you and Daddy go outside and tend to the flowers in your garden. I Love any alone time I get with you especially at night once Ella is in bed and you smell so clean from your bath and we cuddle in my bed and watch a show together. It's all moving so fast and I can't wait to see you grow up, but just slow down a little bit please. Thank you for filling my heart sweet Aves. I Love you so much!

8 Months...Already???

Ella turned 8 Months on Mother's Day this year...what a great present, but it was a good thing I looked at the date on the calendar or it would have just sailed by. We have so much going on that it's hard to believe Ella is already 8 months old.

I keep thinking to myself that these next 4 months for her and us are going to be crazy hitting so many milestones and one I keep chanting to myself and doing happy dances about is only 4 more months of bottles - FOREVER!!! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE feeding her her last bottle before bed at night. It's the one time each day that I get some snuggling and alone time with her, but she Loves food sooooooo much that she would just rather eat instead. I don't blame her - have you ever tried formula, Gross!

Let's see, some interesting facts about you sweet Ella:

You are rocking, rocking, rocking on all fours and cannot wait to start crawling. You are really good at tummy crawling right now and you've started to put one leg kind of up when you move. So soon!







You have gotten your 1st 2 teeth on the bottom in the middle and I'm sure are working on some more, but I can't see them yet.

You have found your voice and love to screech out loud whenever and wherever. I forgot your pacifier the other day at the grocery store, but thankfully I had a can of stars with me so I just fed them to you the whole time. You still got a few screeches in...at least it wasn't crying!



You sat in the shopping cart for the 1st time last week and enjoyed it so much that you didn't say a word the entire time and stared at everything! I can only imagine what that must be like for you when all you've known is reclining back in your car seat. Honestly though, I would love for someone to push me around in a recliner anytime :)





When I go to get you in the morning or after your naps you are always soooo smiley and just playing and hanging out in your crib with your lovey and all your paci's. The best day was when you figured out how to put your paci back in your mouth the right way.

You LOVE your sister and follow her with your eyes everywhere she goes. Just wait until you can actually follow her around...it will be wonderful!







You have the BIGGEST brown eyes and they take everything in.

You like to play peek-a-boo, love your sippy cup and food, food, food. You crack up when I tickle your feet or under your chin. You will break out a smile for almost anyone, but you take a moment and really study them before you do. You have such fun expressions with your eyes. I never knew such a tiny thing could already have so many expressions!! And, I can always settle you down by singing "Do you know the muffin man?"

I can't wait to see you start fully crawling, and then walking. I look forward to hearing you start to babble and watch your personality develop more. You are so fun to be around and like Avery, I LOVE having a buddy with me wherever I go. I Love you so much sweet girl :)

Friday Nights at Watters Creek

THEY'RE BACK!!!!

our fridays night with the girls just got a whole lot more fun now that the music at watters creek is back in full swing. we love going up there and getting a quick dinner, some yummy paciugo and listening to their tunes. if you're ever in the mood to dance with us give us a call!

Mommy-Daughter Date

last week avery and i went on a date during the week...some good old quality time with mommy!! who wouldn't want that :)

we went to her favorite place to shop - target, and shopped around a little and then i let her pick where she wanted to go for dinner. her 1st pick - grimaldi's but i wasn't really in the mood for pizza and kind of wanted a little more fun, kid place. 2nd pick - steak n shake. i haven't been there or eaten a burger in forever and she hasn't been there in awhile so we headed that way. it's such a fun kid place if you have kids and have never been.

they get a hat to wear...check us out in it. plus a car you put together with stickers and food people and a placemat with crayons. it keeps them busy :)




after her meal we HAD to get a shake. she chose the m&m shake and shared just a little with me!

i don't get as much time as i would like to with my sweet aves but when we do i always have a great time with her. she has such a great little spirit and love for life. don't ever lose it. love you baby girl!

Rub-a-Dub-Dub 2 Kiddos in the Tub

here are the 2 kiddos in their 1st bath together. avery was so excited to take a bath with ella!! it's been so easy getting them ready for bed now. thanks ella for finally sitting so well :)
